The secretory function of the liver under the action of enkephalins
Leu- and Met-enkephalins have been studied for their effects on bile secretion in rats. It has been found that enkephalins decrease the bile flow rate and the bile acid secretion. Possible mechanisms of the bile secretion regulation by enkephalins are discussed.
