Summary:An increased incidence of autoimmune illnesses has been reported among dyslexics and their relatives. The authors explained that an advance towards a testable hypothesis would be possible by concentrating on a clear-cut autoimmune disease such as insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and continued to collect material for statistical analysis. This collection has now been completed, the new material being of nearly the same size as that of the first report.
