Summary: | A probe has been developed that can produce a tapping action to assist in the diagnosis of vestibulities. It can provide information that can differentiate cases of vestibulities from other types of vulval pain and from normals, and it has not produced any unexpected results as might be expected because it mimics a standard clinical test. The probe can also produce results to provide an objective measure of the severity of the vestibulities which could be used to assess a trial of treatment regimes. The device has proved to be easy to use in clinical practice. |
