Bactericidal activity of BMY-28100 versus amoxicillin/clavulanic acid against Branhamella catarrhalis
BMY-28100 (Bristol-Myers, Belgium) is a new, orally absorbed cephalosporin that has an increased antibacterial spectrum compared to other cephalosporins and stability in the presence of beta-lactamase. The authors determined the bactericidal activity of BMY-28100 versus amoxicillin/clavulanic acid a...

Summary: | BMY-28100 (Bristol-Myers, Belgium) is a new, orally absorbed cephalosporin that has an increased antibacterial spectrum compared to other cephalosporins and stability in the presence of beta-lactamase. The authors determined the bactericidal activity of BMY-28100 versus amoxicillin/clavulanic acid against ten beta-lactamase producing strains of Branhamella catarrhalis isolated from endoscopic or transtracheal aspiration from patients with bronchopulmonary infections. |
