A diagnosis of Castleman disease was suspected and confirmed histologically. After surgical removal of the lymphoma the patient recovered completely. Castleman disease should be considered in cases of chronic fatigue, unexplained fever, microcytic anaemia and hypergammaglobulinaemia.
