Description
Summary:A study on the seroprevalence of HAV and HEV infections among adolescents in an inland territory of central Italy (Molise region) was carried out. The prevalence of antibodies was respectively 3.3% and 0.4%. The results indicate that (1) anti-HAV prevalence in children is low but HAV infection is always present, and (2) HEV infection could be endemic and not necessarily imported.
