The organ shortage: What are Australian organ sharing organizations doing about it?

A version of the Spanish model of organ donor generation is being trialed in Australia with early success. National implementation of this approach is underway, with the expectation that the current donor rate of 10.6 donors/pmp/ year will be doubled.
