Summary: | Melioidosis is an infection caused by Burkholderia pseudomallei, formerly Pseudomonas pseudomallei, and is endemic in areas within 20 degree latitude north and south of the Equator. Melioidosis is known for its diverse clinical manifestations, including pulmonary infections, septicemia, and localized suppurative infections, which may present acutely or chronically. We present, to our knowledge, the first case report of melioidosis manifesting as mycotic aneurysm. |
