Summary: | Through education and discussion, the research induction group introduces mental health clients to participation in a research study. The purpose is to help clients to understand fully the clinical and research procedures involved in the study so that they can make a truly informed decision about whether or not to participate. This study replicated a previous study in showing that the research induction group resulted in informed decision-making, high rates of participation in the clinical services and in the research, and high rates of satisfaction with both vocational services and research procedures. |
