Description
Summary:The application of ultrafiltration to sample preparation in the detection and quantification of ethylene glycol in plasma by gas chromatography is described. After addition of the butylene glycol internal standard and ultrafiltration, the sample is directly injected, obviating the need for further dilution. This simple, efficient method of sample preparation is also suitable for more sensitive gas chromatographic measurement of other volatiles.
