Summary: | During the past decade, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of women seeking infertility evaluation. Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is an invaluable procedure for evaluating internal architecture of the female reproductive tract. Utilizing HSG, it may be possible to minimize the use of invasive procedures, such as hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, in defining such problems as peritubal adhesions, leiomyomas, and congenital anomalies. This review re-emphasizes the wide range of available information and advantages of HSG which can be extremely useful in the diagnosis and management of infertile patients. |
