Description
Summary:This review is confined to selected aspects of vanadium interaction with transport ATPase and its expression on cellular, organ, and whole animal levels. For a biological perspective, updates on biochemistry, distribution, nutrition, and as yet unexplained observations on the effects of vanadium will be included. The symbol VO super(-)d3 (for vanadate) will be used instead of the names of various salts of metavanadate (VO super(-)d3) or orthovanadate (VO super(3)d4 super(-)) employed in the works referenced.
