Description
Summary:The long-term effects of left coronary artery occlusion were studied on the metabolism and function of the isolated, perfused rat heart. Metabolic studies indicated anaerobiosis following occlusion, accompanied by a depression in ATP and CrP contents. Myocardial function was significantly depressed within 30 min, but returned to normal after one month.
