have been unanimous in their observations that there has been no fall in the virulence of the virus since it was introduced into wild rabbits in France in June 1952. Experiments made in Canberra with several European field-strains have confirmed this view. Very recently, however, we have obtained evidence of attenuation of the virus in the field in Europe. |
