Description
Summary:THE USE OF AGENTS capable of influencing the course of acute leukemia1–10 makes it important to analyze objectively the effects of treatment. Such an analysis could be made on the basis of morbidity and the number and duration of remissions associated with therapy; or, since the disease is invariably fatal, the criterion might be the duration of life. The latter might be calculated from the time of appearance of the first symptom of the disease or from the beginning of therapy until death.
