Summary:BECAUSE the analysis of soft tissue for fluoride is difficult, little has been published on the distribution of fluoride in tissues other than bone, dentine and enamel. Data of this nature are of interest in view of the widespread use of fluorides in drinking water as a caries-preventive measure. Such data also may be useful in assessing the fluoride exposures of livestock pastured near certain industrial plants.
