Description
Summary:A case of sarcoma botryoides presenting as a polyp on the left labium majus in a 6‐month‐old female is described. The lesion was present for 1 month and showed rapid growth. It was considered clinically as a benign polyp and was inadequately excised. It recurred after 2 weeks and was treated with radiotherapy, followed by left hemivulvectomy and lymph node dissection of the left groin. Eight months later metastases were found, in the right groin, followed some months later by extensive local recurrences. The child died 16 months after presentation. No other reports of sarcoma botryoides occurring on the vulva were found in the literature.
