Further evidence of the inhabitation in a marginal population
The distribution of Rh gene r˝ was studied by locating the birth‐places of the parents of 284 carriers. This was compared with a matched control of 267 individuals, all being blood donors. The estimated frequency of r˝ was much higher in areas which were first settled before our historical period. T...

description | The distribution of Rh gene r˝ was studied by locating the birth‐places of the parents of 284 carriers. This was compared with a matched control of 267 individuals, all being blood donors. The estimated frequency of r˝ was much higher in areas which were first settled before our historical period. This pattern was similar to that of a much rarer gene, Afinn, but showed a limited gene flow into areas settled later. |
