Summary:This paper is concerned with the provision of psychiatric services in Ontario. The viewpoint of the paper is an analysis of such services in terms of the six Ontario public health regions. The data were obtained by a regrouping into the public health regions, of published data on psychiatric facilities and services in the province. Data are analyzed in terms of different types of facilities and services -psychiatric inpatient facilities, outpatient services and provincial facilities for the mentally retarded. The analysis indicates some differences in the provision of these services in the different public health regions. Ce document traite de la disponibilité des services psychiatriques en Ontario. Ilanalyse la question en fonction des sixzones sanitaires de l'Ontario. Les donnéesont été obtenues en regroupant, pourchacune des zones étudiées, les donnéesdéjà publiées sur les établissements et lesservices psychiatriques de la province. Lesdonnées sont analysées en fonction descatégories d'établissements et de services: établissements psychiatriques à l'intentiondes patients hospitalisés, servicespour consultants externes et établissementsà l'intention des déficients mentaux. L'analyse démontre certaines différencesdans la dispensation des servicesdans les différentes zones sanitaires de laprovince.
