Summary:Three cases of yolk sac tumor of the testis combined with seminoma in adults are described. One patient died with widespread metastatic disease 4 months after orchidectomy. There was no response to chemotherapy. The other two patients, who had a 2–3‐year history of testicular enlargement prior to orchidectomy are well and free of disease 2 1/2 and 1 years after surgery followed by radiotherapy, and in one case by chemotherapy. It is suggested that yolk sac tumors combined with other germ cell tumor elements may occur in adults more commonly than has been hitherto believed, and that the prognosis at least in some cases may not be as unfavorable as is generally considered.
