Description
Summary:A patient with adenovirus infection and synovitis is described. He presented with fever, acute respiratory disease, macular erythematous rash, aseptic meningitis and inflammatory arthritis of both knees. All symptoms resolved completely over a 3‐week period. Acute and convalescent sera revealed a significant rise in antibodies to adenovirus type 7. The patient's serum C3 was elevated and serum C4 relatively depressed during the onset of symptoms; both values returned towards normal with recovery.
