Moreover, the hindlimb/mesenteric resistance ratio was unaltered in the spontaneously hypertensive rats relative to the normotensive controls. These data suggest that a proportionate increase in vascular resistance occurs in the hindlimb and mesenteric circulations of the spontaneously hypertensive rats. |
