Description
Summary:The amino acid composition of the BAI strain A avian myeloblastosis virus was determined qualitatively by paper chromatography and quantitatively by ion exchange chromatography. The values found were reproducible with different preparations of virus and differed from those reported by others for three other viruses: influenza, rabbit papillomatosis, and tobacco mosaic. The BAI strain A virus contained glucosamine in the amount of 1.4 moles percent of total nitrogen.
