Summary:A teaching clinic, staffed by the Department of Pediatrics, was conducted in nearby (central New York) migrant camps during the summer under the auspices of the State Health Department. It was well received by public health nurses and parents. It was valuable to the Department as a teaching operation and as a source of information in an area of pediatrics hitherto little explored. The nature of the clinic and timing of its activities made it appropriate as an elective for a few interested students or as a rotating house staff assignment. This report is submitted in the hope that other medical centers may consider similar combined teaching, service, and investigative ventures.
