Summary:IN a series of investigations of the storage of rabbit embryos, different types of morphologically atypical embryos were encountered 1,2 . These abnormalities were: presence of excessive red blood cells or air bubbles in mucin coat, persistence of corona radiata cells until 48 h, ruptured zona pellucida, embryos with angularly shaped blastomeres, irregular mucin coat and abundance of hypha-like projections, flattened and lentil-shaped morulæ.
