Summary:Two new species, Acanthobothrium floridensis and A. fogeli, are described from Raja eglanteria Bosc and Gymnura micrura (Bloch and Schneider), respectively, from the Gulf of Mexico. A. paulum Linton, 1890, is considered a nomen dubium. A. brevissime Linton, 1908, and A. woodsholei Baer, 1948, are considered valid species and are redescribed.
