Summary:A study has been made concerning the use of ferrocyphen [dicyano-bis-(1,10-phenanthroline)-iron(II) complex] as an internal, reversible indicator for the diazotization titration of sulfonamides. Many of the sulfonamides of pharmaceutical interest can be determined using the ferrocyphen visual end point. The titration procedure is simple and rapid.
