Description
Summary:Examines the impact of counterterrorism finance policies on British individuals, groups, or sectors of society. At issue is the anti-money laundering/counterterrorist finance (AML/CTF) legislation & the claims that it has increased financial exclusion, made it difficult to send remittances abroad, & damaged Islamic charities & civil society generally. The AML/CTF policies in the UK are briefly described before detailing their impact & evaluating the credibility of the aforementioned claims. It is concluded that these claims are unsubstantiated. D.
