Capital Flows, Redlining and Gentrification: The Pattern of Mortgage Lending and Social Change in Glebe, Sydney, 1960-1984
An exploration of whether a causal relationship existed between gentrification of the inner-Sydney suburb of Glebe and the mortgage-lending behavior of major financial institutions, as has been suggested by research findings overseas, is presented.
