Summary:Samples of women in treatment for alcoholism, of women chosen randomly from a community and of women receiving services for victimization by severe partner violence were studied to determine which group was most likely to experience high frequency negative verbal interaction and moderate violence. Women in treatment for alcoholism were predicted to experience the circumstances described.
