Summary: | Conclusion to an issue on resilience. In this commentary my intent is to provide a framework for the papers presented in this issue, highlight contributions the authors make to this emerging field of inquiry, and challenge the reader to think both critically and creatively about new directions they would like the field to take. To begin, allow me to offer a two-part definition of the resilience domain that I believe is broad enough to encompass diverse ways the term is used not only in this specially issue but also throughout the biopsychosocial sciences.
