Use of corticosteroids during cardiopulmonary bypass: possible lysosome stabilization
Abstract only 1. These studies suggest that massive doses of dexamethasone may stabilize the lysosome membrane during periods of circulatory stress. 2. Some of the postoperative complications following cardiopulmonary bypass may be related in part to lysosome damage incurred during bypass.
