Description
Summary:The content of total cholesterol, phospholipids and individual phospholipid fractions was examined in red blood cells in autoimmune hemolytic anemia. In the period of increased hemolysis, red cells of patients with this disease with sensitization of the gamma type contained significantly less cholesterol and phospholipids per single cell. The relative distribution of the individual phospholipid fractions remained unchanged. Patients with this disease with sensitization of the non-gamma type and patients in a remission of the disease did not show any of these changes.
