Summary:A rapid and sensitive two-dimensional TLC-colorimetric method for the simultaneous determination of khellin and visnagin in Ammi visnaga fruits, extracts, and formulations is presented. Horstmann's m-dinitrobenzene colorimetric method was studied; a modified method, ensuring stability of the produced color and strict adherence to Beer's law over a wide range of concentration (5–150 mcg.), is proposed.
