Summary: | McMillen, J., F. Macasaet, M. Lenahan, P. Kamltsuka and H. A. Wenner (Univ. Kans. Med. Ctr., Kansas City, Kara. 66103). Lack of serologic relationship between several group A coxsackie- and simian viruses. Amer. J. Epid., 1968, 88: 126–131. —The several group A coxsackie and simian viruses (entero-, adeno-, reo-, and unclassified) of this study were not found to share common antigens. The interrelationships exposed during the preparation of coxsackievirus antisera were very likely related to infections occurring before and after arrival at the laboratory, SV19 and SV35 may have evoked minor neuronal injury in monkeys. SV19 produced myositis in mice. |
