Summary: | The boundary-value problem of electromagnetic wave penetration into a circular aperture pierced by a long conducting cylinder in a thick conducting plane is solved. The superposition principle, the Weber transform, and the mode-matching method are used to obtain simultaneous equations for the modal coefficients, which are suitable for computations. Computations are performed to illustrate transmission characteristics of the circular aperture pierced by a thick wire. |
