Description
Summary:In the course of a study of the surface properties of soybean lecithin, a modification of the Wilhelmy or vertical-type film balance was developed which is believed to offer certain advantages over other standard film balances. The apparatus, which employed a displacement-type transducer as the sensing device, was found to be a reliable sensitive instrument. Its principal advantage was the fact that a recorder could be operated conveniently off the transducer element.
