Summary: | The possibility of a philosophical semantics is considered. Two approaches to the issue are compared & both are shown to fail in determining the conditions of justification of truth & the objectivity of objects. One proposes an inconsistent conception of truth, whereas the other proposes a concept whose own truth cannot be decided.
