Summary: | The question of the need for a Russian project on reactor simulation is raised. The discussion begins with a brief description of two European projects SALOME and NURESIM. The universal platform SALOME is intended for pre-and post-processing in numerical simulation problems. It is based on open and flexible architecture made from multiple use components accessible as free software. The NURESIM reactor simulation platform is closely associated with it. The salient features of the Russian project are formulated and the possibility of developing several platforms-separately for innovative and existing reactor facilities-is discussed. In conclusion, it is stated why this is necessary and what can be accomplished.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT] |
