Summary: | The ionization source model is considered to study the expansion of a cosmic dust-laden plasma. Source and sink terms are included in fluid equations to investigate the one-dimensional self-similar expansion in the presence of dust charge fluctuation. As a consequence of the presence of neutralizing heavy particles and momentum transfer, the validity domain of the self-similar solution is found to increase with dust initial charge. The ion density profile is also found to depend on the dust charge value. |
