Description
Summary:This article analyzes persuasion, manipulation, & countermanipulation strategies present in a presidential speech. It aims at understanding how the discourse enunciators organize the discourse in order to obtain the addressees' acceptance (the Brazilian society). From a methodological point of view, we analyzed space & time shifts, the creation of value objects & anti-subjects, & mechanisms used by the enunciator to establish a verbal contract with the enunciatees. This study intends to offer some parameters that can be used to establish comparisons between similar discourses. 1 Appendix, 4 References. Adapted from the source document
