Summary: | In the following article, I present a study about the acquisition & learning of noun modifiers (adjectives, prepositional phrases, determiners) in the written discourse of American students who are learning Spanish as a foreign language, & Spanish children who are acquiring Spanish as their first language. For this study, I have applied the syntactic maturity indexes developed by Hunt (1970) for the English language & adapted by Veliz (1999) for the Spanish language. Adapted from the source document |
