Description
Summary:The development of the communicative approach in the last decades has contributed to the consolidation of an authentic communicative scenario which sets the grounds of the learning process. With this paper, we aim at highlighting the benefits of using shorts fictional stories in the language classroom to improve language skills from a humanistic, linguistic, & pragmatic viewpoint. Reading in a foreign language has often been sidestepped due to the lack of fluency in the L2 or due to time pressure in the curriculum. In this way, we envisage short stories as a solution to fade away these constraints &, at the same time, to make our students multiculturally-minded. References. Adapted from the source document
