Summary: | According to generally accepted concepts, differentiation of acid melts plays an important role in the formation of rare metal granites and related deposits. Rapakivi granites are one of the most ancient highly potassic rocks in the Earth's history, and their formation occurred in the subplatform regime. This was a favorable factor for intense melt fractionation up to the formation of LiF granite. Late differentiates in the rapakivi granite complexes control tin and accompanying mineralization, and in some cases tin deposits. |
