Summary: | Racial and ethnic disparities exist throughout the US health‐care system, including in the field of solid‐organ transplant. There are disparities in access to health care, health outcomes, and access to transplant centers. Addressing this issue requires equity in pretransplant care, increased education and referral throughout the transplant process, and research funds targeted to the study of problems pertinent to transplantation in certain patient populations.
