Summary: | Iatrogenic Pyogenic Spondylodicitis is a disease not commonly reported probably because of the way it is acquired, from the health practitioner.
The case of a 62 year old man that presented in our outpatient department with features of spondylodiscitis after several attempts at spinal anaesthesia at a rural hospital was reported and the literature reviewed.
The patient showed remarkable improvement few days with parenteral antibiotics and made complete recovery subsequently.
Adequate asepsis is required for spinal anaesthesia and parenteral antibiotics given presumptively following numerous attempts at spinals. |
