Flow fluorescence cytometry revealed no differences between mutant and normal animals in the relative duration of the cell cycle phases, which suggests proportional shortening of the cell cycle phases. The study with pulselabeled mitoses confirmed these results and showed that the length of the cell cycle is 7 h (S phase duration 3 h) in control individuals and 5 h (S phase duration 2 h) in
