The sensitivity of BCG scar as an indicator of previous vaccination among Sudanese infants

Highlights ► 100 Sudanese infants were examined for the presence of BCG scar following vaccination. ► 83% of the babies had a BCG scar when vaccinated in the 1st month of life. ► The average size of the BCG scar was 3 mm. ► We concluded that the BCG scar is a good marker of BCG vaccination.
