Analysis of the Torque on a Superconducting Spinning Sphere From Aspheric Factors

The torque on the magnetically supported spinning superconducting sphere is generated because of asphericities. The aspheric factors contain two aspects, one is the centrifugal distortion which is due to high speed rotation, the other is spherical tolerance during manufacturing process of the sphere...

Description
Summary:The torque on the magnetically supported spinning superconducting sphere is generated because of asphericities. The aspheric factors contain two aspects, one is the centrifugal distortion which is due to high speed rotation, the other is spherical tolerance during manufacturing process of the sphere. After these two aspects being considered, an analytical model is proposed to calculate the torque. The force and torque characteristics are discussed with regard to the single suspension coil at different positions.
