Description
Summary:This article highlights certain aspects of Nahua intellectual work by discussing the endeavors of Nahua grammarian and Jesuit priest Antonio del Rincon (1555-1601), the first indigenous person in the Americas to write a grammar/linguistic treatise of his own language.
